The College Board’s annual Pencils Down conference brings together over 2,000 employees nationwide to reflect, reconnect, and celebrate accomplishments. With the organization navigating major changes, including the transition of the SAT to an all-digital format, leadership needed an event presence that clearly communicated the College Board’s evolving vision while keeping employees engaged and aligned across teams.

We evolved and brought the new Pencils Down branding to life, crafting a cohesive visual identity that captured the excitement and purpose of the College Board’s shift to an all-digital SAT. This approach modernized the assessment experience while inspiring employees and strengthening connections across the organization.
For the conference, we focused on creating a seamless branded experience across every touchpoint. From custom badges and wayfinding signage to interactive pin maps and handouts, every element guided participants intuitively through the event while reinforcing the conference’s energy and purpose.
Interactive and shareable moments, like the pin map and photo wall, ensured participants remained engaged and left with memorable takeaways.
