Strother Enterprises, a prominent service management solutions company, along with corporate executive chef Chris Nguyen, set out to debut a new restaurant concept at Philadelphia International Airport’s Terminal F Food Court. They had a name and a location but needed a creative agency to bring this one-of-a-kind dining experience to life.
The idea for this unique eatery was inspired by Southeast Asian street food. WinKitchen’s menu would feature banh mi, bao, bowls, and more. Presented with the overarching restaurant concept, Munroe was up for the challenge of developing the look and feel of this new brand from scratch.
Seeking to play off the bold, energetic, and multi-sensory experience of Asian Street markets, we created a brand that invited audiences to eat with their eyes and connect with their soul.
Throughout the development of the dining concept, we laid the foundation for the brand and created buzz for the upcoming launch across digital and social as well as within the airport itself.
From environmental graphics and menu design to product packaging and staff uniforms, we considered every detail, connecting the brand to every touchpoint for an immersive, holistic placemaking experience.
The launch of WinKitchen was a complete success. We’ve been told that the vibrant bags intrigue and entice travelers to seek out the dining concept and embark upon their own culinary adventure. Best of all, the bags are so beloved they have become a go-to reusable bag among diners and fans. Now we call that a win.
So what does the future hold for WinKitchen? We hope to see WinKitchen restaurants all over Philly and beyond!
