Established in 1805, Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts (PAFA) creates possibilities and encourages innovation through its museum collections and school of fine art. In 2008, PAFA reached out to Munroe for ways to refresh its image, increase museum attendance, help fundraising efforts and drive school enrollment. Munroe accomplished this by creating a new logo and brand identity that is now utilized across everything from signage and merchandise to enrollment collateral, fundraising materials, special event invitations, billboards and more. In addition, Munroe developed a new tagline, “A Rare Combination” to help spark curiosity levels among all intended audiences and highlight the distinct school and museum experience that sets PAFA apart. When the new brand was introduced, enrollment at the school increased by 13%. Additionally, the 2008 Annual Student Exhibition (conducted in the summer after re-branding) was the most successful in years.

For the past 8 years, Munroe has been designing the invitation and corresponding print materials for the Lymphoma Research Foundation’s (LRF’s) Annual Gala, and this year is no exception. The gala is LRF’s largest fundraising event and requires an elegant and celebratory invitation. We are also involved in the initial event “theme,” which leads to writing clever or inspiring headlines for the invitation. Corresponding materials include a save the date, stationery and gala journal. Here is a peek at this year’s invitation, as well as a few of our favorites from over the past 8 years!
